helping you save cash

Reverse Advent Calendar

I spotted this fantastic festive idea and thought it was great.

What you do is get a box, or a crate or a basket and add an item every day throughout advent. You then drop it off at your local foodbank (ideally before Christmas so you may have to put the last 3 or 4 items in at the same time) so it can be used to help those in need this festive season.

This is a great way to give back and even better if you get your kids involved. It’s a season all about giving and this is a great way to illustrate the act. Get yourself a coffee, sit down and figure out what you can do to help those who rely on foodbanks this festive season. If this is something you end up doing, I’d love to see photos. Send them to me over on Twitter.
