I wondered why the Meerkat Movies app on my phone had updated, changed its name to simply ‘Meerkat’ and also changed the app icon.
Well, it’s because the new app now also includes Meerkat Meals.
This is a 2 for 1 offer from Sundays to Thursdays at restaurants all over the UK.
Whilst I feel this is a bit of a response to GoCompare doing a free Dine membership which each insurance policy, if you are currently a member of Meerkat Movies, you’re automatically ‘enrolled’ into the Meerkat Meals scheme, meaning you can use it right now.
The app shows you want establishments are offering this 2 for 1 offer, which is available on starters, main courses & puddings, detailing them in distance from your current location. The restaurants include Pizza Hut, Frankie & Bennys & Prezzo, as well as plenty of pubs. There were over 20 places within 10miles of where I live. You can use it as often as you like whilst your membership is active (some places do breakfast too!) but you can extend it when you make a qualifying purchase from comparethemarket.com.
In the small print, it details that the offer is not available on certain days such as Mother’s Day, Easter Sunday, Christmas Eve & New Year’s Day. It’s probably best to check with the restaurant you’re planning on going to before you sit down & dine.
Don’t miss out on your 2 for 1 meals this summer.
