You might not be thinking about Christmas right now, but that is exactly why you need to start thinking about it. We all know that Christmas Day falls on 25th December but what day is that in 2023? When do we need to be ordering the turkey and buying the trimmings? What day do the presents need to be wrapped up? What about those letters to Santa? When we know when Christmas 2023 is going to be, we can organise ourselves and start preparing for the festivities.

Christmas 2023
Being able to plan towards December 25th every year means we have a target in mind. Both financially and as a family, we can get on with all the jobs that need doing pre-Christmas. But what day of the week does Christmas 2023 fall? December 25th in 2023 is a Monday. So Christmas 2023 falls on a Monday. With the public holidays of Christmas Day and Boxing Day landing on a Monday and Tuesday, there are no days off to switch around in 2023.
Book Time Off Work
Now we know when Christmas 2023 falls, we can start to plan our vacation time with our family. Booking time off work is important, especially during the Christmas holidays. There is a cracking trick that you need to know, in order to get more days off than you thought was possible.
By simply using three of your annual leave days, you can enjoy 10 days off work! When you take weekends and public holidays into account, you’ll be off work from Saturday 23rd December, returning on Tuesday 2nd January. The extra Monday off is because New Years Day falls on a Monday too. Of course, not everyone works Monday to Friday 9-5 and there are lots of shift workers and retail staff who will be working over the holidays. It’s a great way to get some extended time off if it works for you.
Plan & Prepare
Planning for Christmas all year round allows you to prepare ahead of the date, taking any stress off your shoulders. When we plan financially for Christmas, throughout the year, it means the money is there when we need it. Coming up with a few hundred pounds out of thin air in December isn’t going to be possible. Figure out how much you spent on Christmas last year and divide it by 12 to give you a monthly amount to put aside. If you usually spend £400, that’s just over £33 a month to set aside. Much more manageable than the full amount in one go.

Christmas 2023 Conclusion
When we know when Christmas 2023 will fall, we can plan ahead and book our time off to ensure we spend some time with our families. It is well worth getting your finances in order and also, if you see something on offer during the year, you can dip into your Christmas 2023 fund to buy things you need. The prices of things often increase in the run-up to Christmas, so grabbing them at discount is great. Plan ahead, be smart with your saving and get your preparations in order for Christmas 2023.
