With the countdown to Christmas in full swing, we’re all waiting with anticipation to see what deals will be on offer for various must have products this year. Before Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this year comes Amazon Prime Day!
What Is Amazon Prime Day?
You have likely heard of Amazon Prime Day before and you’d be right in thinking that it’s perhaps later on in the year than usual. It usually falls in July but due to the global pandemic, the company decided to push it back into late 2020 instead. As always, there will be 1 million deals across two days from well known brands such as Nintendo, Toshiba, Lego, Under Armour and loads more! There will be photography gear, top tech, toys and everything else you can think of. This year’s sales will take place over 13th & 14th October.

How Can I Buy On These Deals?
Amazon Prime Day is for Prime members. That’s those of us who have chosen to pay to become Prime members. It costs £79 a year or £7.99 a month. If you want to take part you can sign up to a free 30 days trial any time before the day itself. You won’t be charged for the trial but you’ll have to input your card details for the first payment once the trial ends. You can cancel the subscription after Amazon Prime Day, so you can get access to the sales without having to be a member. Students with Prime access via Amazon Student will also be able to take part.
Supporting Small Businesses
To help out small businesses who are currently struggling, Amazon have come up with a great deal for customers which will support small business owners. Prime members can get a free £10 to spend on Amazon Prime Day by spending a minimum of £10 with select small businesses from now until the Monday 12th October.
Previous offerings have been fantastic for customers but also for the company with record breaking sales which have dwarfed Black Friday turnover. Remember, it’s only a deal if you were going to buy it anyway but you can perhaps pick up some cut price items that you had on your Christmas shopping list!
