Disney + Star is coming this year! I’m a big fan of Disney +. It’s been fantastic to keep us all entertained over the past months. With top shows such as The Mandalorian, along with classic Disney films and Pixar offerings, it’s entertainment for the whole family. The streaming service is about to get bigger and better this year with the arrival of Disney + Star!

What You Can Currently Watch?
If you haven’t signed up for Disney + just yet, you’re missing loads of amazing content. Check out the entire Star Wars franchise. Binge watch the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Enjoy the likes of Toy Story, Monsters Inc and Cars from Pixar. Go nostalgic with classic Disney animations such as The Sword In The Stone, The Jungle Book and The Black Cauldron.
You can also enjoy live action remakes such as The Lion King and the awesome Aladdin, with the fantastic Will Smith as the Genie! Discover Disney + original content and enjoy the sights and sounds of the world from the comfort of your own home with National Geographic. The Simpsons is even on there! What Is Coming To Disney + Star?
The amount of content available on Disney + is huge already, but it about to get even bigger. Disney own a lot of stuff and have acquired the rights to lots of films and shows over the last few years. Not only is great Marvel content such as WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Solider coming, an entire new channel is arriving in the shape of Disney + Star.
You’ll be able to check out the new show Big Sky, along with Prison Break, 24, Lost, Desperate Housewives, How I Met Your Mother and The X-Files. There is just scratching the surface too! The new content will launch when Disney + Star goes live on February 23rd 2021.
Parental Controls
Fortunately, with Disney stating that there will be thousands of hours of content available, with shows such as Sons Of Anarchy coming to the streaming service, parents will be able to have more control over what their kids watch. The parental controls will be enhanced and you’ll be able to keep things family friendly for those little ones in your household. This means everyone will be able to watch some age appropriate content safe, soundly and securely.

There Will Be A Price Increase
Disney + has been a great deal at just £5.99 a month or £59.99 for the entire year. With the new content coming and prices generally increasing a year after a streaming service has launched, there will be more to pay. New services tend to come in cheap and hope you’ll stick with them when they put up their prices. The likes of Now TV has hiked up over the last few years!
With the arrival of Disney + Star there will be a jump in price of £2, to £7.99 a month, or £79.90 a year. Disney have said that current subscribers will be keeping their current payment rates until August 23rd, 2021. This means you’ll be able to see if the extra offerings are worth the enhanced fee.
