The ‘hunt’ for Easter eggs is on, as we’ve been told by TV adverts from pretty much Boxing Day! I love a good Easter Egg as much as the next guy, but what I don’t like is getting less for my money than someone else. Here’s the rundown on mini eggs…
You can buy a 90g bag of mini eggs for £1 for most supermarkets. It’s not that bad of a deal I suppose, it’ll sort your chocolate fix. However, the smaller 41.5g boxes ae 50p each.
Or 3 for £1 as some shops.
That works out at 3 x 41.5g for £1.
That’s 124.5g for £1.
Over a third more for the same price!
My wife thought I was bonkers for doing the maths on chocolate purchases, but I want the best deal I can get for the money I’m spending. Who wouldn’t want more chocolate for the same price?
Make sure you’re checking the grammage on the side of your chocolate this Easter! It’s true of anything, check if there’s a better offer before you commit to buying.
