The free coffee is only available if you are a myWaitrose cardholder and in order to claim it, you just make a purchase. There is no minimum amount you must spend, so you could buy a packet of chewing gum or collect something you know you will need at home that evening. A simple purchase to get a free coffee at Waitrose is a great deal. One we all perhaps need right now as a regular pick-me-up or treat.

In order to claim your free hot drink, you must scan or swipe your myWaitrose card at the self-serve drinks machine after you make your purchase. For those who use the app, just scan the barcode linked to your account within the app.
You must remember to take your own reusable cup with you. This is to encourage sustainability. If you forget, you’ll need to buy one in-store for about £4.

If you enjoyed a hot cup of coffee from Waitrose before, you’re going to love it even more now the perk has been reintroduced. Waitrose has actually teamed up with Nero Roasting Coffee. They will be supplying the coffee beans as this new partnership has been created. So if you love Caffè Nero, the taste should be pretty much the same.

I think the return of free coffee at Waitrose is a great thing. The scheme was always popular and encouraging people back into shops with a free brew when they make any purchase is a great idea.
