Where Is Legoland Windsor?

The Legoland Windsor resort can be found in Windsor, Berkshire. Not far from Windsor Castle and less than 25 miles from London, the full address of Legoland Windsor is Winkfield Rd, Windsor, SL4 4AY. It is about a 90-minute drive from Cambridge, a 2-hour drive from Birmingham, and 5 hours in the car from Newcastle. The closest train station to Legoland Windsor is Windsor & Eton Central, whilst the nearest airport is Heathrow.

Best Time To Go & How To Save Money

Throughout the year Legoland Windsor has different events. These are often themed for the time of year or for a limited time due to opening in the school holidays, for example. Included in these special events are Brick Week, Spring Fest, Brick or Treat, Fireworks Spectacular, and Legoland at Christmas. You will also find that the resort is open throughout the summer which is when many of the water-themed Legoland rides are available to experience. You can save money on your visit by finding vouchers for 2-for-1 entry on the side of supermarket products like cereal boxes. Also, keep an eye out for any deals posted on the Legoland website. There are loads of Legoland Windsor Rides to enjoy on your visit, with plenty of excitement and adventure for the whole family. Let’s run through those awesome Legoland attractions.

Flight Of The Sky Lion

In the heart of MYTHICA, the World of Mythical Creatures, take to the skies on Flight Of The Sky Lion. The UK’s first-ever flying theatre will see you go on the journey of a lifetime with Maximus. As you fly through incredible Lego realms, keep an eye out for the scariest of the created creatures, including the four-headed Chimera. There is always a huge queue for Flight Of The Sky Lion, so if you are able to run to it as soon as the gates open you should be able to get on fairly quickly. Otherwise, consider the ultimate tier of Reserve & Ride which is available for this ride.

Fun fact – the huge Maximus outside of the ride is made of almost 700,000 bricks!

The Dragon

Jump aboard a dragon and enjoy a speedy ride through the kingdom! You start by chugging through the castle, meeting lots of wonderful Lego-created characters on the way, before picking up speed and flying outside above the treetops. Twist and turn and scream if you want to go faster! This is a great rollercoaster that you’ll want to ride again and again.

Lego Ninjago The Ride

Become a master of Spinjitzu by helping Cole, Kai, Lloyd, and the rest of the team battle skeleton ghosts, snake tribes, and The Great Devourer in Ninjago! Fans of the TV series and range of Lego sets will love stepping into this world. Become the Ninja you were always destined to be! Personally, this is my favorite of all the Legoland Windsor rides.

Hydra’s Challenge

Enjoy some splashtastic fun on Hydra’s Challenge, a fantastic interactive water ride in MYTHICA. Meet Duo, the two-headed snake-like creature as you twist and dive on jet-pods. Watch out though, because family and friends watching can fire water cannons for an extra splosh.

Miniland

Travel around the world in just a handful of steps by exploring Miniland. Countries, cities, and landmarks of the globe are created with more than 40 million Lego bricks! See if you can spot Times Square, Buckingham Palace, and the Sydney Opera House! You’ll be amazed at just what can be created with Lego bricks. Canary Wharf Tower stands over 5 metres tall, whilst the pigeons in Trafalgar Square are each made of only 5 bricks!

Duplo Dino Coaster

Discover the first-ever Duplo Dino Coaster, in the heart of Duplo Valley! This Duplo Dino Coaster looks absolutely fantastic, almost made out of real Duplo bricks! It is the perfect first rollercoaster for little ones, and lots of fun for the rest of the family too.

Fire & Ice Freefall

One of the latest Legoland Windsor rides is Fire & Ice Freefall. Over in MYTHICA, enjoy the feeling of weightlessness as the Fire & Ice Bird takes you on a ride like no other. You’ll shoot up and be dropped, freefalling before being caught and shot up once again. With ten to each of the two spinning dropping towers, you’ll have a great time whilst seeing the park from fantastic heights!

Lego City Deep Sea Adventure

Board a submarine and dive down into the murky depths. Discover what lies beneath, including incredible sea creatures and a lost underwater Lego city. Be inspired by what you see and help look after these amazing creatures for years to come.

The Magical Forest

This brand new walkthrough attraction in MYTHICA brings you face-to-face with some of the incredible creatures you may have spotted throughout the rest of the realm. This includes the adorable Bits & Bobs, the baby Alicorn that everybody loves! Use your mobile device to scan QR codes and see the action come to life via Augmented Reality.

The Brick

Let your imagination run wild at The Brick, the brand-new attraction at Legoland Windsor. There are hundreds of thousands of lego bricks to get creative with. Create that masterpiece you’ve always wanted to make and team up with friends and family to construct the ultimate build.

Lego City Driving School

Over in Lego City, guests can earn their very own driving licence! They’ll first watch a safety video before being let out onto the track to find an electric car to drive. Then they can drive around Lego City, navigating roundabouts and traffic lights. Watch out for the speed camera!

Height requirements: drivers must be between 1.1m and 1.5m in height to ride (not suitable for guests aged over 13 years)

Haunted House Monster Party

The house is going to be turned upside down at the best party in the park. All little monsters are invited and Lord Vampyre has a fang-tastic time planned for the entire family! It’s a little bit spooky but a whole lot of fun!

Coastguard HQ

Take charge of one of the electric boats and head around the coastguard course, keeping an eye out for all those Lego-created animals and divers. You might even get a drizzling from the elephant!

Next on the list of Legoland Windsor rides is Fairytale Brook. How many stories can you spot on this boat trip throughout your favourite fairytales? Keep an eye out for Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty and Little Red Riding Hood. A gentle ride for all the family.

Pirate Falls: Treasure Quest

Join Captain Blackheart on a pirate adventure! Of course, there will be a few helpers who try to soak you as you travel these uncharted waters. Prepare yourself for a big splash!

Laser Raiders

Discover the secrets of ancient Egypt in this exciting ride, as you jump into an off-road vehicle and head deep into a temple. You’ll be armed with your own leader shooter and when you hit the targets, you’ll mean points. Who will be the winner when you eventually make it out of the temple?

Jolly Rocker

Enjoy a swashbuckling adventure on the high seas, as you set sail on the Jolly Rocker. Aspiring sailors need to have a stomach for heights (as well as wobbly seas!) as the hull reaches 18 meters above land.

Creature Creation

Be inspired by the world of MYTHICA around you and get your hands on plenty of Lego bricks to build your own creature. Once you have brought them to life, place them in the wonderful model world of MYTHICA. You just need to decide where your creation will live – the Magical Forest, Raging Seas, Hidden Valley, or Mount Lava.

Duplo Airport

Over in Duplo Valley, you will find the next of the Legoland Windsor rides, the wonderful Duplo Airport. Riders can control their helicopters, going up and down as well as round and round. Make sure to take in the fantastic view!

Legoland Express

Departing from Heartlake City, the Legoland Express will take you on a train journey like no other. You’ll be able to view different areas of the park whilst witnessing some awesome animal builds you wouldn’t otherwise see. All aboard!

Viking River Splash

Set sail through a Viking world created from millions of Lego pieces. This water adventure will leave you a little bit wet but with some fantastic memories from that downstream adventure.

Giddy up on this epic adventure, as you join Mia from Lego Friends on an equestrian-themed ride. You’ll move backward and forward as you’re launched up into the air. Whoa boy!

Balloon School

Take to the skies above Lego City as you pilot your own Lego hot air balloon. Riders will have bags of fun and be able to witness some lovely views across the park. One of the most fun of the Legoland Windsor rides.

Duplo Express

You’ll find Duplo Express in Duplo Valley and it’s the perfect first train ride for little ones. The carriages are colourful, the journey exciting (but short!) and there is plenty of big Duplo to see! Youngsters will want to ride it again and again.

Destiny’s Bounty

Over in Ninjago world, you can test your Ninja endurance on Destiny’s Bounty. It’s a pirate ship-style ride with a difference. How fearless will you be? You might even see one of the Ninjas posing for photographs opposite the ride!

L-Drivers

It is never too early to learn to drive at Legoland Windsor. Little ones can take to the steering wheel at L-Drivers, operating their own electric car around some of the less hectic roads in Lego City. When engines have stopped, a Driving Licence is earned.

Aero Nomad

Take to the skies on Aero Nomad and witness the incredible Kingdom of the Pharaohs from a whole new perspective! It’s a fun-filled ride for everyone.

Get creative and use your imagination in this new immersive build experience. The whole family can put together the world of their dreams, building brick by brick. Fun fact – the six-foot wide globe when you walk in is made of over 200,000 bricks!

Duplo Playtown

This unsupervised playground in Duplo Valley is perfect to let little ones let off a bit of steam. Keep an eye on them as they play in the themed areas of the park, including police, fire station, princess, and space!

Lego Studios 4D

Watch your favourite Lego characters come to life and come right off the screen in this 4D cinema experience. It could be the Ninjago gang or even Emmett on another great adventure.

Spinning Spider

There’s an awfully large spider above you and it’s moving! Spin yourselves around to outwit the spider and escape its clutches. For extra dizziness, rotate the wheel in the centre of your seats. Of all the Legoland Windsor rides, this one left me feeling the most spun-out!

Desert Chase

This traditional carousel with an Ancient Eqypt twist is exciting and playful. Choose a horse to ride or sit in one of the carriages as you spin to new speeds on this epic chase.

Thunder Blazer

Found in the Kingdom Of The Pharaohs, the Thunder Blazer is perfect for youngsters who love to spin around and around, feeling like they are flying.

Splash Safari

Found over in Duplo Valley, Splash Safari is all about getting wet! Youngsters can splash around in this water play area, surrounded by Duplo-themed animals including lions and elephants. Don’t forget your swim gear and towel!

Fire Academy

Lego City needs some new firefighters and they reckon your family is up for the challenge. Be tested on your speed, fitness, and teamwork as you power a Lego fire engine and douse those flames!

Drench Towers

Pack your swimsuits as you are going to get wet at Drench Towers. Kids will love dodging the tipping buckets and splashing down the slides. Don’t forget your towel!

Merlin’s Challenge

There is a wizard on the loose in Knight’s Kingdom and he’s conjuring up spells to send you dizzy! Jump onto Marlin’s Challenge and spin if you want to go faster!

The Hill Train

Enter Legoland Windsor in style on The Hill Train. It will take yu from the beginning into the heart of the park, as you enjoy the views from your very own colourful carriage.

Designed with 5-12 year olds in mind, Castaway Camp is a fantastic pirate theme play area where guests can burn off some steam. Join Captain Goodbrick’s crew, and navigate rope walks, nets, and slides to become the ultimate buccaneer.

Dragon’s Apprentice

For those guests not quite ready to take a ride on The Dragon, this smaller rollercoaster is ideal! With a great view of the Magical Kingdom Castle, aspiring knights can twist, turn and build their bravery in style on Dragon’s Apprentice.

Sky Rider

Witness Miniland in a whole different way, from 20ft in the air as you enjoy the Sky Rider. See what you can spot from this aerial point of view. Is the King at home in his castle?
