With the kids off school, parents can pack the car and book somewhere exciting to enjoy a few days or a week. When Are The School Easter Holidays 2022?
Easter falls on Sunday 17th April in 2022. As this is a little later than it often is, a lot of schools are taking the two week break before Easter. So Easter Sunday falls at the end of the holidays, followed by Easter Monday being a Bank Holiday and then schools returning on the Tuesday. Furthermore, different schools will have different holidays. This is due to local authority decisions and some may have inset days to add on also. It’s worth checking with your school before you book anything. However it’s always worth knowing when the long weekend is for Easter celebrations.
Make More Of Your Days Off Work
Do you tend to take the odd day off work here and there? This might mean that you never truly unwind and relax. Did you know that if you take just four days off work this Easter, you can enjoy ten days off work? Simply book 11th, 12th, 13th & 14th April off work. That’s the Monday to Thursday. You can enjoy ten, yes TEN days off. Those ten days will start on Saturday 9th and you’ll return to work on Tuesday 19th. Friday 15th is Good Friday so it’s a Bank Holiday and Easter Sunday (Monday 18th) is also a Bank Holiday.
Obviously this trick won’t work for everyone as different people work shifts and have to work Bank Holidays. However, if it applies to you, it’s a great way to get a long break with the family. A bonus being you don’t have to take too many days from your annual allowance.
Of course, if your school has a week either side of the Easter weekend, you can take eight days off and enjoy 16 days off work. With the four days Easter weekend, you simply book 19th to 22nd April off. Along with the dates above and you can enjoy 16 days from Saturday 9th, returning to work on Monday 25th. Half a month off work! Sounds like bliss!
