I recently got my business insurance renewal through.
As I’ve said before, I never just accept the renewal. I hate how they tend to make you ring up to cancel and they lay the “why is it you’re cancelling with us” spiel on you. A simple, “I’m going to look elsewhere and see what deal is best for me” tends to work.
I always look on cashback sites when my insurances are due. They often have huge cashback rates which can bring the amount that you pay down. Obviously it’s never guaranteed that you’ll get this cashback, so don’t pay for something you’re not happy with.
In this situation my renewal was £125, having paid £113 last year.
I typed my exact same details into their website as a new customer and as given £110 as a quote. That’s pretty good, even better when I looked on Quidco and saw that they were offering £75 cashback! Business insurance for a year for £35, bargain!
Never just accept a renewal. Best prices are kept for new customers, but you might still get the best price with the same company. Just be sure to get the right price for you & your situation.
