There is something amazing about hosting your friends and family for an evening over the summer months. Fun, food and fine wine. It’s perhaps been taken for granted before but with so much having happened over the last few months, sitting with our loved ones is more important than ever. With the fun you’ll have through board games and sharing stories make sure you rustle up some great food as well, maybe even a BBQ! Of course, with all of that, you’ll need a glass of something special in your hand!
Fine Wine
I’ve got a couple of great bottles to tell you about, perfect for relaxing with in the garden. The first one is a UK exclusive organic wine from Roero. It’s 13% ABV and is elegant enough to go with a wide range of vegetarian and fish dishes. Of course, it’s perfect on it’s own as you enjoy the fresh breeze of the those summer nights. It’s beautiful on the palette, and the you can almost taste the tradition and the landscape it’s been made in.
Malvirà is a 100% organic winery, owned by the Damonte family. Roberto from the family says “the secret for making good wine is loving and respecting the land where you live, not overusing chemicals, and not pushing the vines to over-production”. I have to agree. I want my wine as clean as possible and for the grapes used to be the best of the best. A couple of bottles of this around the outdoor dinner table and everyone will be smiling.
Sticking with the organic theme, this red wine is exceptional. People say its a masterpiece. From a micro winery in Sicily,it’s a family affair as head of the family Salavtore Tamburello cultivates the vines with his wife and three daughters. They remove half of the grapes from the vines, allowing the remaining grapes to receive all the nutrients and have a far better and concentrated flavor.
The wine is superb. 306 might just give you a moment in time that you remember where you were and who you were with when you drank the 306. Premium quality wine with aromas of cranberry and cherry. It’s full bodied and smooth. A pleasure to drink. Perfect for when the sun sets and you light a couple of candles, pull a blanket around your shoulders and enjoy the quiet, cool air.

Now is the time to organise a perfect summer get together. Send that group text and wait for the RSVPs to come flooding in from your loved ones. Get that outside furniture out of the garage or lock up, dust down the chair covers and pull the BBQ out from down the side of the shed. Just don’t forget to order your wine online so it arrives on your doorstep before all your guests arrive. Sounds absolutely blissful to us.
