What Is The Texaco App?
I first heard of the Texaco app upon seeing a promotional poster on a forecourt. It’s actually called the Texaco Star Rewards. I usually fill up at the closest petrol station to us which is a Tesco, or maybe the Asda or Morrisons if we are driving that way. However I used the Petrol Prices app which I’ve written about before and noticed that the cheaper price was coming up at a Texaco station just down the road from our church. It was a penny cheaper than elsewhere and I thought we should top up before the Easter holidays. I topped up the tank, costing around £27, went inside to pay and as I walked back to the car, spotted the Texaco app on a poster. When I got home I downloaded the app to see what it is all about and it looks quite beneficial to the user.
Points Mean Pennies
Every litre of fuel you buy at Texaco, when you swipe your Texaco Star Rewards card you get a point. Unlike other rewards cards which often only give you half a point, this is a full point per litre. Each point is worth a penny so 100 points is worth a £1. These points can be turned into digital Texaco vouchers for instant redemption instore.
