Security at home is a big deal. We want our property to be safe and secure. However, it can also be fun. How do you fancy getting the help of some Cybernetic Security Robots? What Are Spybots?
I remember a story about my wife’s Uncle creating a bedroom security system when he was younger. He was great with electronics and cobbled together a security system that would alert him if someone was approaching and entering his room. This is what Spybots are. A modern and up-to-date version with plenty of flashing lights and noise.
Kids can have loads of fun with Spybots, as can parents! If your children want to secure their bedroom, they can have one of the Spybots stand guard at their door. However, parents can get their own back by having one of them guard the biscuit barrel when the kids come back from school. Fun for the whole family!
Key Features
There are currently three characters in the Spybots range. These are TRIP, Room Guardian and Spot Bot. Your children will love them all but are sure to have a favourite.
TRIP stands there quietly until an intruder crosses his pat, breaking the motion sensor beam. This sets off a screaming siren and flashing lights that will scare off even the most villainous intruder.
Room Guardian provides round-the-clock room security when you attach it to your door. A code must be input to access the room, but if the wrong code is entered, or there is no code entered at all, cue flashing lights and sirens.
SpotBot has basically been brought in from Prison Break. When movement is sensed, bright LED lights and a loud siren will activate and he’ll wheel around searching out the bad guys.
They work fantastic as individuals but when they team up, can keep your room as secure as Fort Knox! The ultimate triple-tag team!
Where Can You Buy Them?
The Spybots range is available from all good retailers, including Smyths Toy Superstores. The price is between £22.99 and £24.99, depending on which character you choose. When you shop At Smyths you’ll get free standard delivery when you send over £20. Each Spybot needs 3 AA batteries but they don’t provide any in the box. Be sure to stock up or choose rechargeable if you can.
Final Thoughts
These Spoybot toys are great for a Christmas or birthday present. Your kids will have loads of fun setting them up and waiting to catch the bad guys or busy parents who have forgotten they are there! Of course, Dad can set up Room Guardian on his work-from-home office door to ensure the kids don’t distract him. Although, the promise of flashing lights and loud sirens will provide too much temptation and they’ll purposefully set it off for fun as soon as they return from school.
