Woe for Future Energy Bills
The announcement was made earlier this week that the price cap will rise 42% in October, to £2800 for someone on typical use. That’s a £830 rise. If you are able to, start putting some money aside whilst the heating is off this summer to pay for heating this winter. Rumours of Government help coming with Rishi Sunak putting a package into place could be announced today (Thursday). The £200 October loan-not-a-loan, could be converted to a grant and increased. It could be up to £400 for each household but ministers have ruled out the return of the £20 universal credit uplift. Something to keep an eye on today.
Meerkat Caffe Nero 25% Discount
If you are a Compare The Market customer, you are likely taking advantage of the 2 for 1 cinema tickets offer as well as the Meerkat Meals offer which gives you discounts on eating out. They’ve added 25% discount at Caffe Nero that you can use twice a day. If you are not a customer but want access to these offers, take out a day of travel insurance for a couple of quid to get 12 months access to these offers.

Asda have reinstated 10% discount for Blue Light Card holders. (NHS, Emergency Services, Social Services, Social care sector and armed forces.)
Watch The Champions League Final For Free
The Champions League final is this Saturday and it’s Liverpool vs Real Madrid. BT Sport are once again streaming the final live and for free on their YouTube channel. Meaning that you don’t have to have a subscription to watch Jurgen Klopp’s side try and lift the trophy. However you have access to YouTube – smart TV, mobile phone, laptop etc – just click here for the BT Sport YouTube channel where you’ll find the live stream just before kick off on Saturday 28th. Kick off is 8pm.
