When Is Christmas Day 2026?

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, but when exactly is it? Let’s dive straight into the snowball fights & Christmas gift wrap to figure out when Christmas Day 2026 actually is.

When Is Christmas Day 2026?

Obviously, we know the festive season arrives towards the end of the calendar year. Items start appearing on the shelves in October, TV adverts start in November, & apparently it’s only acceptable to listen to Christmas songs from December 1st. Christmas Day is always on December 25th, but the question is, what day of the week does that fall on for Christmas Day 2026?

Christmas Day 2026 will be a Friday!

That means you’ll likely be at work on Monday 21st, Tuesday 22nd, Wednesday 23rd and maybe even on Christmas Eve which will be Thursday 24th December. Boxing Day is on Saturday 26th, however, the Bank Holiday we get for Boxing Day will transfer to Monday 28th. So if you’re working every weekday apart from the Bank Holidays, you’ll have the Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday off, returning to work on Tuesday 29th.

Make The Most Of Your Time Off

If you have some holiday time to use around the festive season, you can combine it with the Bank Holidays and weekends to extend your annual leave. Obviously, this won’t work for those retail workers that we appreciate and salute during the festivities. However, for a lot of workers, the following sneaky tricks can give you plenty of time off when you use only a handful of vacation days.

Book the 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 29th, 30th & 31st December off.

Those seven days will actually give you 16 days off! You’ll leave the office on 18th December and not return until Monday 4th January. Not a bad way of using your holiday and enjoying some time off around Christmas Day 2026 and into the New Year.

Celebrate Christmas Day 2026

Be sure to celebrate Christmas Day 2026 in style, but remember that you don’t need to spend a lot of money to enjoy yourself.
