Cashpot For Schools

I’ve written a few times about how to save money at Asda. From the Christmas Savings Card to using the Rewards app, there are loads of ways to trim the cost of your weekly shop. But Asda has gone above and beyond with the introduction of Cashpot For Schools.

What Do You Need To Do?

Firsrly, you need to download the Asda Rewards app to your mobile device. Secondly, sign up and create a profile so you are ready to start saving. You then need to select the school that you want to help and click join. This could be the school your children attend, or maybe just one in your local area if you don’t have school-age kids.

How Much Will Be Raised?

When the school signs up for the campaign via Parentkind, £50 will be added to the cashpot. For every user that selects the school another £1 will drop into the total, so even if you don’t shop at Asda, you can give a local school a quid by simply signing up to the app and selecting the specific school. If 300 people sign up it’s an extra £300 in the bank!

Furthermore, for those who do their shopping at Asda, 0.5% of your spend will be added to the Cashpot For Schools. This doesn’t cost you anything on top of your normal shopping. It is simply added to the Cashpot For Schools from Asda’s end. For example, spend £80 on your shop, that’s 40p into the pot for your school. If 100 parents do that it’s £40. In addition, at the time of writing this, there is already well over £1million raised for schools across the country. The campaign continues until the end of November 2024.
