Whilst we have no intention of going abroad (we have a campervan so are exploring the hidden gems of the UK) I don’t even think we could afford to take four of use abroad during the school holidays.
There are many ways to beat the increased school holiday prices that travel agents and airlines charge, but I wanted to briefly explain a really simple one.
We live in the North West of England. So we’re not that far away from Scotland. Scotland has different summer holiday dates to England. Having a holiday late in the English summer holidays means that Scotland might be back at school already.
Flying out from & into a Scottish airport could make things considerably cheaper than using Manchester or a London airport.
It’s definitely something to consider for next year.
