There’s a lot of talk today about BritBox, a new streaming service fronted by a BBC and ITV partnership.
I’m all for business & new competitors against the likes of Netflix will only lead to the best succeeding and better content for us, the viewers.
As of yet we’re not sure what BritBox is going to be showing. If it is going to be for unique & new content not available on any of the 20ish BBC and ITV channels, fair enough. If they’re just going to shift stuff from ITV player & iPlayer over there & charge folk, that’s a bit off.
It’ll be interesting to see how this develops.
