As reported by Money Saving Expert, there could be a shake up in the train fare industry.
I think it’s about time that railway fares were sorted out. I used to commute an hour a day each way, which by some people’s standards is nothing, but it mans that a 12th of your day is sat on a crowded train and you have to pay through the nose for the privilege.
According to The Rail Delivery Group, due to what can only be seen as a massive cock up, there are “55 million different fares to buy, so it’s difficult for customers to know if they’ve got the best value fare.”
A cap is being discussed, which would hopefully save customers money & help them spend only the amount they need to. Any benefit to customers who use the shambles of a railway we have in this country, is a good thing
