Is it too soon to start thinking about Christmas? I don’t think so.
People pick up bargains throughout the year for Christmas presents and I know I start planning the meal well in advance. It’s probably about to, or maybe even well overdue, to start thinking about the time off work at Christmas.
With Christmas falling on a Monday this year, the last day in the office for some will be Friday 22nd. You’ll get Monday & Tuesday off for Christmas Day and Boxing Day. You’ll also get the following weekend plus Monday as New Year’s Day, so if you booked the 27th, 28th & 29th off, you’ll get 10 days off for only 3 days holiday!
Of course, this won’t work for everyone, as some people work shifts, others will be working Christmas Day and some like me are self employed. But whilst it won’t work for all, there’s no harm thinking about what time you’ll have to spend with friends and family this festive season so you can really make the most of it.
