There are so many incredible ways that we can give our homes a facelift. When we find ourselves spending more time at home, we can get bored with the same old surroundings. We can find the areas we sit, the four walls around us, become annoying. The lack of creativity to inspire us, the blank canvas we’re not making the most of. Let’s look at how we can use the interiors of our homes to motivate us, enhance the appeal of our properties and to give our walls a new lease of life.

Wall Art That You Love
When was the last time you looked around your living room and felt content with the art on your walls? The same with your bedroom? The works of art that we frame and place on our walls speak volumes about who we are the what we love. It also inspires us and helps to crate a certain atmosphere. Relaxing in the bedroom to aid sleep, bright and bold in the hallway to welcome guests. Wall art can do marvellous things and if you don’t have anything on your walls, now is the time to look at how you can create an impact.
Where We Sleep
Our bedroom is always at the bottom of the list. It often becomes a dumping ground for washing. We concentrate on the communal areas of the house where the whole family congregates, like the lounge, dining room and kitchen. Even the bedrooms of the children get more attention than ours. Even the guest bedroom does! We finally decided to start creating the bedroom we wanted and with that, ordered a couple of picture ledges. These are perfect for above the bed, just higher than the headboard. The design allows you to place framed images on there to create the look and feel you want. Without having to hang individual frames on the wall, you can mix this up depending on how you are feeling or even the season. We decided to go for some meaningful pieces to do with our past. A print of the location where we honeymooned for instance, along with some personal framed photos that we’ve taken.

Vibrant Dining Space
You can add personality into your dining space. This is great because when you have dinner parties or friends round for tea, they can see what you are into. These pieces can spark conversations, or even help the kids daydream as they get lost in the visual pieces you choose. Create the space where you feel happy dining. Pieces that each family member has had an input with. Maybe even have a framed piece of art in the kitchen which inspires you whilst you are cooking.
Visualise What You Want
You can use the gallery tool to see your chosen art in situ. Not only does this help you see it on a wall rather just on the internet in a zoom box, you can also see all the pieces you are considering together. Do they work? Which needs to be a stand alone piece, perhaps in a larger frame? This tool is fantastic for visualising exactly what you are buying before you checkout.
