Have You Found Love?

This is a paid collaboration with Birmingham Dating Site.

We recently celebrated our ninth wedding anniversary. Nine years! I wouldn’t change it for the world. Our relationship is one the most important things in my life. Lots has changed since we first got together, mortgages, kids, careers! That’s not the only thing that’s changed though. It seems that more and more people are getting together and finding love online.

Life is busier than ever these days. 24 hours in the day is no longer enough. We work, work, work, try and have some sort of a life and then work some more. How can you meet someone in the few minutes you aren’t focused on your work life? How can you be expected to fall in love with someone in that time?

Online dating sites are ideal for the hectic speed of the modern lifestyle. It cuts out that awkward time where you get to know the person. Figure out if you’re attracted to them physically, have similar interests, have anything in common. Once you’ve found someone you’re interested in, you share a passion for cricket and are arranging your first date at Edgbaston.

Finding similar interests is a huge reason people get together but you also need your own personal interests when in a relationship. You need things to talk about when you meet up with your Mr Shelby down The Garrison.

If you live and work in a big city, it can be near impossible to find your soul mate between the buildings and taxi cabs. If you live in Birmingham, you might spot someone you fancy when shopping in the Bullring but what if you don’t have the confidence to just go up to them and chat? Dating websites take away that issue as you can chat online before meeting up. Check out Birmingham Dating Sites and you might find someone who changes your world.

Being in a relationship has so many positives and brings joy to life. We share memories, common goals, secrets. We argue yes, we’re not perfect but couples argue. If it’s nicey-nice all the time, it’s not real. We bring one another happiness and we’re looking forward to the next nine years. The nine after that too!

If you haven’t yet found a partner, you can often look from the outside in and think you’re missing out. In all honesty, you are. Those comments about the fact you’re not getting any younger and your fertility clock is ticking don’t help either. Get online, look at some profiles and set up some dates.

We have friends who met online. It really works. They found each other met up, dated, got married and now have a wonderful little boy. Sometimes you need that little bit of help to find the person you’re supposed to be with. You can’t discover everyone in the world in one go. Well, actually you can.

Sign up, log in, write your profile and start to find people you’re interested in. Set up some dates in the free time you have. Meet down at New Street, Victoria Square, the Cathedral or maybe even Selfridges . You could soon be wandering down the Jewellery Quarter!
