Make Money For Christmas

Christmas Day is two months away. Many people feel added financial pressure during the festive season. If you need to earn some extra cash in the run up to the holidays, read on to see how you can make money for Christmas.

What It’s All About

Firstly, you don’t need to spend a lot of money at Christmas to enjoy yourself. There are many people with no cash who are the happiest at Christmas time. The festive season is all about spending time with family and friends, showing love to one another and making memories. You might think I need money for Christmas and these top tips will help you to find some bonus holiday cash, but never forget that a warm hug from a loved one is one of the best gifts you’ll always remember.

Sell Your Unwanted Stuff

One of the easy things to do before Christmas is remove any clutter from your home. Many people do this once a year as a ‘spring clean’ but doing it before Christmas, when you might be likely to get new things given to you is also a good idea. During your de-clutter you might send things to the tip or the charity shop but you should also consider adding things to Facebook marketplace or eBay. Selling just a few items will help give you some extra cash for Christmas.

Start Surveys

Online surveys can be quite lucrative. You can do as many as you wish and earn quite a few pounds per survey. I recently signed up to a survey where you give your opinions in terms of market research. In the first week, putting maybe an hour into it, I earned £12 and was awarded bonuses for my answers. I cashed out £15 that week. That’s not a bad bit of cash when you need money for the holidays. If you did this every week throughout the year at an average of that £12 a week, that’s over £600. That’s a nice bundle of extra money for Christmas.

Download Apps

If you have no money for Christmas, check out some money making apps. I’ve written before about Zip Zero which let’s you claim back 1% of any receipt to put towards your bills. If you’re putting ‘free’ cash towards bills, you can hopefully use what you would have spent towards Christmas. Check out other apps like BeMyEye, SwagBucks & Job Spotter where you can earn points to convert to Amazon vouchers.

Earn Cashback

Be sure you’re clicking through cashback sites when you’re doing shopping online. Join a cashback website such as Quidco and you can earn various amounts of cashback on your purchases. 15% cashback at Nasty Gal, 10% cashback at River Island and 8% cashback at Urban Outfitters are just a few of the offers available at the time of writing. If you’re going to be buying things anyway, you might as well get something for doing so! Consider it some bonus Christmas money.

Part Time or Odd Jobs

There are many retailers who take on extra staff during the festive season and if you need money for Christmas this could be the perfect answer. Whilst you might not be able to do this alongside your full time job or with childcare, it’s worth seeing if there are any flexible shifts available, even one day a week on a weekend. They’re extra busy and need additional help, so this is a great way to make money for Christmas. Royal Mail usually offer jobs and I’ve seen discount shops such as B&M taking applications. Consider doing some cleaning work, leaflet delivery or other odd jobs to help if you have no money for Christmas.

Christmas Money Conclusion

There are many ways to make money at Christmas time. Get selling the things you no longer use, use your hobby to earn some extra holiday cash and boost your bank account with apps and cashback. Think outside the box for other ideas of how to make cash for Christmas and you’ll soon soon put to bed those thoughts of needing extra money for Christmas.
