How To Contact Yodel When You Have A Problem

When was the last time you purchased something online? Some of us do it every now and again, others shop online every day. Maybe you’ve even bought something today? More and more of our shopping is happening online, for many different reasons. Sometimes it’s because of price. For other shoppers it’s the convenience. Whatever you buy online needs to be sent to you. It needs to arrive at your house for you to use. This is where delivery companies and their drivers come into play. What happens should something go wrong with your delivery though? How do you get in touch with the company to find a solution or complain. How do you contact Yodel?

The Best & The Worst

When we shop online, different companies use different delivery businesses. Some of them are fantastic, other ones make you wish you hadn’t even placed the order to begin with. There are so many horror stories of people having deliveries go missing or be thrown over fences never to be seen again. Whilst we hear these, there are other companies who are fantastic and provide a good service. Of course, these stories may have no impact on how certain companies operate near you. This is because of the different variables like drivers, day of the week and even the weather. However, getting a broad view is a good idea. Users of MoneySavingExpert were asked to take part in a poll to rank delivery companies. There were 9000 responses, with great, good and poor votes for each company. The list below details the outcome, ranking the best to worst.

1) Amazon Logistics
2) DPD
3) DPD Local
4) Royal Mail
5) DHL
6) Parcelforce Worldwide
7) UPS
8) FedEx UK
9) APC Overnight
10) DHL Parcel UK
11) UK Mail
12) DX
13) TNT
14) Yodel
15)  Hermes/MyHermes/Evri
16) CitySprint

As you can see, Amazon comes out on top, with DPD and DPD Local taking the other podium positions. Royal Mail and DHL complete the top five with UPS, FedEx and Parcelforce also in the top ten. Those are the ones you’d probably be happy delivering your parcel. However any of them lower than that may come with concern. As you can see, near the bottom is Yodel.

My Experience With Yodel

Like many, I’ve received parcels through the Yodel network. More often than not, they have been extremely poor. The drivers I’ve had never choose to leave a parcel somewhere safe if you are not in. I have neighbours either side of me who are at home 90% of the time. I’ve had expensive stuff left on my doorstep in the rain. It is beyond poor. I’ve also had things arrive stinking of smoke. The drivers obviously smoke in their vans, which in my opinion, they should not. I don’t order a new shirt from an online retailer for it to arrive smelling of cigarettes. Yodel would probably be at the bottom of the list if it was based on my personal experience.

Who Will Your Courier Be?

Choosing the right delivery company is so important. Maybe you have stopped buying online from a certain company because they use a delivery firm who are useless? Maybe you send a lot of parcels yourself and could so with finding a company who are reliable and affordable. Sometimes companies are cheap but with that comes poor service. With the price of everything going up, including stamps it is perhaps more important than ever to find a delivery company who you can trust.
