We are a nation of bargain lovers. We adore getting a little bit of cash off a purchase. Reductions, discounts, special offers, we can’t get enough! Lots of us love saving that little bit extra on our online shopping when we are browsing and buying from retailers. With more of us shopping online, it’s easier than ever to compare prices across different sites and ensure you get the most bang for your buck. I’ve discovered a neat little trick that works with some retailers. Not just cashback, but double cashback! Let’s have a look at how you can grab these extra bonuses!

Traditional Cashback Sites
There are a couple of traditional cashback sites that you may have heard of. They advertise online and even have TV adverts. Quidco and Top Cashback are probably the two most popular sites where you can earn cashback. Once you have signed up and created an account, you just need to tweak the way you shop online. Instead of just going directly to the website of the retailer you want to shop with, you click through via the cashback site.
Head to Quidco or Top Cashback and then type in the retailer you want to shop with. When you click through your journey will track and you will receive a certain percentage back in your cashback account. This could be 1%, it could be 10%. Sometimes you get a set amount of cash for shopping with a certain retailer or buying a specific service from a brand. An example at the time of writing is £120 when you buy BT Full Fibre broadband. If I shopped with Adidas today I could get 30% cashback, or 12% cashback when buying from Very. Keep an eye on these sites and sign up for their emails as so often you get incredible shopping discounts and (after cashback) freebies. If you aren’t shopping this way you are missing out on saving money!
How I Earned Over £3000 With Quidco Cashback

Check Your Online Banking
Cashback is a great way to make savings on what you buy. Did you know that some banks give you cashback on purchases? There are some cashback credit cards (pay them off in full!) that will give you 5% cashback on purchases for a certain amount of time. This could be a great idea at certain times of year. How about getting one which will coverall your Christmas shopping spends? Or if you are planning on purchasing an expensive holiday or booking a wedding venue, a bit of cashback could come in handy!
I know that some banks give you rewards and offers on their apps. Santander, for example, have retailer offers that you can activate. This gives you a certain amount of cashback if you spend on your bank card with certain retailers. Remember to use your card and check the offers before you shop, ensuring to activate them. Right now you could get 10% cashback if you buy from Papa Johns or 5% when you shop at Esso. This cashback is tracked and usually added to your account at the end of each month.

Download Cashback Apps
There are some great cashback apps that you can download to your phone. If you don’t have a phone, some of these can be used on your laptop too. Starting with CheckoutSmart, you can get a certain amount of money back when you buy specific products from shops. There are well known brands that you will have heard of and also new to market products looking for some attention. At the time of writing you can get £1 cashback on certain Kellogg’s cereals. These are retailing at Asda for £1.80 so you can get them for 80p a box, after cashback. Sometimes you get 100% cashback, so you’re basically getting products for free.
There are other apps like this too, including GreenJinn and Shopmium. Shopmium is one of my favourites and if you sign up using code KFMKKEFK and you’ll receive a great 100% cashback offer for something delicious. This changes occasionally but has previously included a jar of Nutella & some tasty Ben & Jerrys ice cream!
Another fantastic app is JamDoughnut. This app gives you cashback when you buy gift cards for retailers. I’ve been using this app when we buy our click and collect shopping from Asda. When I checkout on the website, I go to the JamDoughnut app and buy a gift card to cover my shopping. With 4% cashback it’s a great way to save om supermarket shopping. You can also get 10% cashback when you buy a Pizza Express one and there are almost a hundred retailers with up to 20% cashback available. I’m not a huge fan of gift cards because if the company was to go bust, you won’t be able to use your gift card. However if you are buying it to use straight away, doing it this way is a great way of saving money. Use code XEA5 when you sign up to get 100 bonus points. You’ll also get 500 points when you buy your first gift card.
Have you heard of Airtime Rewards? Simply link your bank card to the app and when you shop at certain retailers you’ll save a specific amount as cashback. The niche part of Airtime Rewards is that you then use your cashback to pay your mobile phone bill. Retailers on the app include Argos, Greggs and Boots. Sign up with code CNL4KN6G and you’ll get 50p when you join and an extra £1 if you spend within 7 days.

Get Double Cashback
As you can see, there are many ways to earn cashback on your purchases. When you combine these, you can be sure of saving even more with double cashback! Previously I’ve clicked through to the retailer Seasalt Cornwall via Quidco and got 5% cashback. Before I checkout out I looked at my online banking retailer offers and activated a 5% cashback offer. That meant I got double cashback on my purchase. I’ve also gained double cashback by buying a free after cashback product at Asda, with my debit card that is linked to Airtime Rewards so I got the bonus cashback. In fact, I made money from that one because the product by getting over 100% cashback! You can simply get double cashback by using your cashback credit card and clicking through a cashback site.
As you can see, there are some greats ways to not only earn cashback, but be savvy with your offers and get double cashback. Doubling up how you earn rewards is a great way to get more for your money. Next time you go shopping, be sure to click through a cashback site, check your apps and see what offers are available. That way you’ll be able to combine specific offers and make extra savings on the amount you spend.
