Have you heard about Paramount+? There is a new streaming service on the horizon! As if Netflix, Now TV, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, BritBox and every other offering wasn’t enough. Paramount+ is on the way and it’s bringing loads of content along for the ride!
What Is Paramount+?
Paramount+ is the new name for the rebranded CBS All Access. It first launched back in 2014 but from March 4th in America, Paramount+ bring what was available on CBS All Access, along with a lot more to enjoy. Whilst initially starting in the USA, there are plans to bring the streaming service globally, with expanding into Europe firmly on the agenda.
How Much Does It Cost?
Perhaps one of the most important questions is how much will this streaming service cost? In the USA, Paramount+ will cost $5.99 a month or $59.99 for an annual subscription. If you want it to be an ad free experience, it’s $9.99 a month or $99.99 to subscribe for a year. This is a new one for me. When you pay for a subscription service, you kind of expect it to be ad free. Offering two packages is a strange one, as I’d rather pay less and sit through the ads. However when you look at the cost, you can get Netflix or Disney+ for around about the same price. We’ll have to see how much it costs when it arrives in the UK.

Will There Be A Free Trial?
Like some streaming services, Paramount+ will offer a 7 day free trial to new customers. You will need to input your payment details though, so ensure you cancel if you don’t want to continue. Otherwise, you’ll be charged for that first month.
What Can You Watch?
This is one of the important parts. What will you actually be able to watch on Paramount+? As well as hundreds of movies from Paramount Pictures, you can also watch content from CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, the Smithsonian Channel, Nickelodeon and BET. Live channels also include ET LIVE.
On launch day, the much anticipated film Spongebob Movie: Sponge on the Run will be available to watch. This could attract a whole new bunch of subscribers. There is loads of content to enjoy from the Star Trek universe, Mission: Impossible films and hit series Yellowstone. Binge watch Frasier, The Hills and South Park. For the kids, there’s plenty of Paw Patrol!
Is Paramount+ For You?
