Spending time together during the Easter holidays is fantastic. Two weeks off school for the kids, the juggle of family time and work for the parents, and plenty of fun to be had for all! Whether you want to plan a holiday abroad or just some day trips close to home, let’s have a look at when Easter 2024 is and how you can make the most of your time.

When Is Easter 2024?
In order to plan your holiday time, you first need to know when Easter 2024 falls. Did you know that Easter changes its date every year? It’s all to do with the lunar cycle. Easter Sunday 2024 will actually fall on Sunday 31st March 2024.
Of course, Easter Sunday brings two bank holidays with it. Good Friday will fall on Friday 29th March and Easter Monday will be Monday 1st April. When you know when the long Easter weekend falls, you can make your plans accordingly.
How To Maximise Your Time Off Work
Now we know when those four day weeks are going to be, either side of the four day Easter 2024 weekend, we can book our time off work. Using four days of annual leave can actually give you 10 consecutive days off work. Book the Monday 25th, Tuesday 26th, Wednesday 27th, and Thursday 28th March off work and you can leave the office on Friday 22nd, not returning on Tuesday 2nd April. Ten days for the price of four, bargain!
Another great idea is to book both of those four day weeks off work on either side of the Easter 2024 weekend. This will give you 16 days off work for only booking eight days of annual leave. That’s more than half a month off work! What will you do? Where will you go?
Of course, this won’t work for everyone as many of us work shifts and unusual hours. However, if you are in a Monday-to-Friday job, using these tips can be a great way of booking a little and being off work a lot!

Plan For Easter All Year Round
What do you like getting up to at Easter? What are the plans for Easter 2024? One of the great things about Easter is that we know when it’s going to arrive. It’s at a similar time every year, although when we know the exact date we can plan better. That also allows us to save money for it.
Why not set up a dedicated Easter money pot and save cash in it for your Easter activities? Maybe you always go out for a Sunday roast as a family? Perhaps you visit a certain campsite for a few days during the school holidays? It could be that you’d just like a little pot of money for when you buy Easter eggs.
Finding a chunk of cash at the last minute isn’t always the easiest thing to do. This is why planning all year round for Easter 2024 is a fantastic idea. If you know how much you usually spend, or how much a certain thing will cost, work towards it for a few months or even a full year ahead. If you usually spend £250, divide it by 12 to get your monthly figure. Simply put this amount into the dedicated Easter fund every month, and when you need the cash, it will be there waiting for you. You could even divide the amount by 52 to get weekly amounts to set aside for these important annual events. You could do this for birthdays, Christmas, and holidays as well. It’s a much easier way to save the finances you need, rather than scrabbling around for a last-minute lump sum.
Plan throughout the year and enjoy the perfect Easter 2024!
