You may have heard me on BBC Radio Lancashire with Graham Liver this morning for Thrifty Thursday. Here are the top money saving tips and deals I talked about.
Cineworld Day 26th February 2022
The inaugural Cineworld Day takes place all over the UK this Saturday. Cineworld will reduce it’s ticket prices to just £3 for one day online. This will be for all films, in all formats, including IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX and Superscreen, in addition to regular 2D. Films available on Saturday that you could watch include Clifford The Big Red Dog, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Belfast, Sing 2, Uncharted, Death On The Nile and Marry Me. They even have classics being shown like The Godfather! It’s an offer you can’t refuse.
This offer will also be available at Picturehouse cinemas, as they are owned by Cineworld.
To make this even cheaper, combine this with Tesco Clubcard offer, converting £1 of points into a £3 Cineworld voucher.
On top of that, customers can get customers a 50% discount off their first month of Cineworld Unlimited. Just use the code BATMAN50 when you pay monthly. There is a 3 month minimum membership and it is £9.99 a month. So you can get 3 months access for around £25. There are so many blockbusters coming out over the next few months including The Batman, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore, Sonic The Hedgehog 2 and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. With tickets from £5.99, a three month membership could easily pay for itself. The offer is valid until March 6th 2022.
Free Peppa Pig Game
If you have a family tablet, you can download the Peppa Pig Golden Boots app on either Google Play or the App Store, for free. It’s an official game and is usually £2.99. There are no adverts or in-app purchases so your kids can have lots of safe fun with Peppa & George.
Beat The TV Price Hikes
Disney+ is raising it’s annual price. If you are looking for an alternative, Apple TV+ could be a great choice as you can get up to 3 months for free. Everyone can get a 7 day free trial to Apple TV+, after which you’ll be charged £4.99 a month. However if you join the free Currys Perks scheme (just sign up on their website) you can get 3 months access to Apple TV+ for free. You could watch The Morning Show starring Jennifer Aniston, Mr. Corman created by Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Finch which stars Tom Hanks. Just remember to cancel before you get charged for that fourth month!
4 Cans Of Brewdog For Less Than £2

World Book Day Is Next Week
World Book Day falls on Thrifty Thursday next week, March 3rd 2022. What are you planning on dressing up as? How about the kids? You don’t have to spend a lot of money on costumes!
