With Easter on the horizon, you might be considering booking a few days away. Whether it’s for the Easter weekend, taking in Good Friday and Easter Monday, or enjoying a week or so away over the school holidays, what Easter getaways can you enjoy that aren’t going to cost a fortune? Let’s take a look.
Get Away From It All
If you fancy getting out of the UK, away from the politics and the hustle and bustle of life, how does a week abroad sound? From a quick online search I’ve easily found a week in Majorca, all inclusive, for less than £300 per person. Maybe some Easter sunshine is exactly what you need? If you aren’t bothered about where you’re going, there will be last minute deals available online and with your local travel agent. Get your passport ready and you could bag all inclusive deals for less than £200 each! One top tip is to go half board and make the most of those meals. One top tip is to save a few quid by going half board, making most of the meals that are included, or save more money by going self catering. Bread, wine and cheese could be all you need from the local shop!

Dust Off The Tent
Head to the garage or crack open the shed door and find the old tent. Give it a once over and if it’s ok chuck it in the boot and head into the countryside to a campsite. Camping often gets overlooked as people don’t want to go completely off grid and get covered in mud. Camping doesn’t have to be like that though. Hot showers, flushing toilets, onsite cafes. Get some fresh air in your lungs, enjoy a good walk, play card games by torchlight and then snuggle down in a sleeping bag. If camping mats aren’t up your street, try more comfortable Easter getaways by finding a yurt site or a glamping pod.
Tour A Different Part Of The UK
If you live in England, go on a road trip of Wales. If you live in Wales, head up to Scotland and explore the highlands. The United Kingdom is on our doorsteps and you’ll discover places you haven’t been and views you haven’t seen. Plan a route taking in places you’d like to visit and call a few B&Bs on the route. You could even try Travelodge or Premier Inns who usually have deals and offer available. Wake up in one place, fall to sleep in another. Explore, adventure & live!

Holiday Parks & More
There are some other fantastic ideas for Easter getaways. Have you considered a UK holiday park? They often get a bed rep but they can be great for some families looking for entertainment and accommodation hand in hand. How about a theatre break? Get the bus down to London for a meal and show before staying in a nearby hotel. Get yourself on Air B&B or similar and find a coastal cottage for rent where you can enjoy peace and quiet. If you’re looking after the pennies, simply enjoy a few days out instead of a full blown break or holiday. Whatever you do this Easter, be sure to spend time together and eat plenty of chocolate eggs too! Let me know your favourite Easter memories over on Instagram.
