See Kindness & Celebrate

How often do you see kindness? The world has been in chaos. In many ways it still is. We seem to be going from one problem to the next. One issue of violence and hate to another of stress and worry. Spreading a little kindness is so important these days. There are many ways you can do it and celebrate the little wins in life. I came across a website that is celebrating every little act of goodwill, every gesture of affection. Let’s talk about See Kindness and explore a couple of ways you can do some random acts of kindness.

Random Acts Of Kindness

Putting a smile on other people’s faces is something special. Random acts of kindness are amazing ways you can do this. In so many ways when you start the ball rolling, the acts continue and often come back to you too. Over the last six months, we have done a few random acts of kindness ourselves.

I made a load of calendars using my photography and when I had some left of before the cut off date for posting before Christmas, I dotted some around the town for people to pick up. They were in see through plastic envelopes already to well weather protected and I simply put a label on the front wishing the person who picked it up a Merry Christmas and telling them to enjoy their little gift.

Before Christmas we also went for a drive through coffee as a treat and we decided to pay for the order of the car behind us in the queue too. More recently my wife was in the supermarket with our three young children and a lady came over to her and gave her £20. She explained that she has older children of her own and it’s not always possible to buy them what they want. She said it was to get them a book each as they were looking at the book section. How fantastic and kind! It’s amazing to see kindness in action.

What Is See Kindness?

I then came across this organisation after they replied to the final story above when I put it on Twitter. See Kindness are a community celebrating acts of kindness and generosity all over the world. By heading to their website you can see random acts of kindness from all over the world. You can also post acts you’ve seen or been part of yourself, all whilst inspiring others to get involved themselves.

There are loads of ways to spread a little happiness and bring kindness into other people’s lives. We could all do with a bit more of this right now. When we’re apart from loved ones and isolating or shielding by ourselves, witnessing kindness being scattered around your community is a wonderful thing to witness. When will you spread or see kindness next? The kindness is in your hands!
